What it really comes down to is using basic common sense. We can list any number of various policies and scenarios which may or may not allowed on DarkNET IRC Network that certain people will always interpret differently. Try to remember the basic courtesy and respect that we give to each other in real life when you are here. We do not have tolerance for anything considered to be illegal activity or purposely insulting to others. While we do try to stay out of the way and not get involved in any issues, leaving the channel owners and operators to deal with any disruptions that may arise in their individual rooms, there are sometimes circumstances where certain individual(s) may become such a network wide nuisance that it forces us to take extreme action. We have outlined a list of some basic policies below that we believe are minimally intrusive while still providing a level of protection for our regular users.
Remember, DarkNET staff are volunteers, and have no interest in having to play babysitter against immaturity. Please try to do all you can to resolve and handle issues on your own before contacting staff. Many times simply ignoring an annoyance (usually /ignore <user>) is all that is takes. If you do feel you need further assistance, you can typically find help in #DarkNET or by contacting one of our volunteer staff members. |
